SYNOPSIS
Erik Wijaya is getting anxious now that his departure for master's degree in New York is approaching. Now he has to make a big decision to pursue his dream even though it means giving up some things that matter to him.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
Being in my mid-20’s and realizing that my life right now isn't exactly the one I used to imagine can get pretty frustrating at times. Although I know that everything is a process, I still cannot help myself from doubting my path and feeling disappointed sometimes.
But nearing the end of last year, I decided to turn my quarter life crisis into something positive, which turned out to be "Lama Tak Kembali". Focusing on this short film project lights up the fire back in me, which made me realize that pursuing something that I love is probably the answer to my crisis.
With this short film project, I hope to inspire others who are going through the same crisis and encourage them to find something that they love to pursue. Although many things could get in the way of doing what we love, it's important to remember that growth takes place outside of the comfort zone no matter how difficult it is to let go of, which I explore with my main character Erik.
